We are reading some short stories in our Story Town series and also fiction and non-fiction
novels. We just finished a realistic fiction novel - A Taste of Blackberries.
While we are reading we discuss comprehension skills and strategies. These may consist of:
authors purpose, compare/contrast, fact vs. opinion, characters/setting/problem/solution,
summarizing, and many other others to help us understand and become better readers.
