What are we doing? The month of January brought our annual Tuttle Pizza Shoot. The Pizza Shoot is organized by retired teacher Dick Tuttle. Mr. Tuttle volunteers his time on a daily basis to teach students the basics of basketball skills to get them ready for the big day. Students in 3rd through 5th grade participate with the grand prize being a gift certificate from Tonasket Pizza for the top boy and girl from each grade level as well as the top shooters won a stars and stripes basketball.

Welcome to Tonasket Elementary School - Home of the Tiger Cubs. We are very excited this year to again be partnered with the Kiwanis for our Tonasket Tigers Terrific Kids monthly awards. This monthly award is presented to one student in each classroom for meeting our Cub Expectations (listed below).
R - Respectful and Responsible
E - Eager Learner
A - Awesome Attitude
C - Caring and Cooperative
H - Honest
Students are nominated by any staff member in the school for this award. I would encourage you as parents and community members to nominate students as well. Please contact Rosemary Stevens in the Cub Den to nominate a student.
This year we have reworked our intervention schedule to include reading and math. What does that mean for your child? After our initial testing they will be placed in an appropriate skill group. In this skill group they will get additional help in reading and math to help bring up their skills. What about the higher level students? They will get enrichment activities, going above and the regular classroom instruction.
